On a recent trip to Portugal in search for new factories, we visited many places but two stood out as worthy of being documented here.
Lisbon to me is a beachy Paris. The light is equally beautiful, but being on the Atlantic ocean there is a feeling you don't have in Paris.
The sounds of seagulls singing overhead, the balmy humid air on my skin while sipping on a "sexy pineapple"—was heavenly.
Where to Stay
Silent Living has stolen my heart. Santa Clara 1728's perfectly understated interiors paired with 18th century architecture... Manuel Air Mateus, the architect behind the renovation, achieved modern elegance while respecting the building's history. It's a peaceful sanctuary filled with all that beautiful Lisbon light.
Where to Eat
Silent Living has it's own restaurant Ceia (the Portuguese word for supper )...a fine dining farm-to-table experience for up to 14(you don't have to be staying at the house to make a reservation).
Where to Play
Like in Paris, there is an avenue of luxury boutiques with a long part in the middle called Avenida da Liberdade, full of street vendors selling souvenirs and art.But I most loved the department store Fashion Clinic.
Lisbon's aquarium was amazing! A sexy pineapple in hand while walking around the city, all its museums and churches are a must. Admiring all the different tiles on buildings around the city.
